Applying for Marketing Communications Coordinator

Marketing Communications Coordinator – Reporting to Head of Marketing & Business Development     The incumbent will be responsible for a diverse business development portfolio comprising:     Website Updates   ·         Implementation More... of minor website updates (bio's, events updating and firm news uploading). ·         Coordinating workflow times with agencies from brief to finish. ·         Monitor news feed on website. ·         Monitor and respond to Enquiries inbox twice daily. ·         Updating relevant client-facing documents with personnel changes (leavers/ joiners/promotions etc.). ·         Collate monthly website stats.   Social Media Updates   ·         Ensure that all content is posted correctly and timeously. ·         Monitor messages received via social media. ·         Monitor staff and firm-related news for social media re-posting. ·         Collate monthly social media stats.   Client Communication   ·         Ensure content is received timeously and accurately in terms of client-facing publications including: Legal Briefs; case summaries; and bulletins. ·         Understand the firm's CI and brand guidelines and provide input and materials (logos etc.) as needed to ensure both internally and  externally-facing collateral is brand compliant.  ·         Brief external agencies and follow-up on deadlines as required on select elements.  ·         Coordinate timings of dissemination of client facing communication to avoid duplication.   Internal Communication   ·         Engage with other operational departments to maintain a steady flow of staff communication. ·         Format and proof-read internal communications: News@Werks; The Werksmans Way;  HR@Werks; etc. ·         Coordination of photos as needed for new joiners.  ·         Monitor and update the Intranet relevant to the Marketing and Home pages.  ·         Collate CV's of new joiners (template-based).    Required skills Academic/Experience   ·         A degree in Marketing/Communications/ Branding ·         1 -2 years working experience in a professional services environment ·         Previous social media experience in a B2B environment ·         Word Press experience is advantageous   Competencies   ·         Excellent command over the English language. ·         An understanding of search engines, social media and other digital marketing, an added benefit ·         Exposure to writing online web content, press releases, copy to assist marketing efforts such as brochures, Legal Briefs, articles etc for external consumption ·         Engaging with lawyers to help edit and generate client-facing materials in keeping with topical issues ·         A thorough understanding of the target audiences and maintaining the right tone of voice while writing and editing copy  ·         Ability to keep up with general legal and world current affairs in order to advise on and identify relevant topics and content     “Werksmans is committed to participating actively in advancing transformation”
